About Galaxy the Cat

The ‘Galaxy the Cat’ collection is my first series of books written to express my love for my dear cat, Galaxy, who passed away in 2021, at the remarkable age of 20. Galaxy was a magnetic girl who would draw you in – full of character! Her passing left a deep ache; a sense of grief and wanting to keep her memory alive, forever – so I decided to jot down some notes about her… little anecdotes.

And with that, the Galaxy series came to life, which I’m thrilled to share with you and hope you will love reading as much as I have loved creating these stories.

Galaxy the Cat series is a delightful insight into the life and varied adventures of an inquisitive, charming, kind cat. Galaxy appreciates finally having a warm, loving home, where 'playmate' kittens are adopted, together enjoying the neighbouring yard and befriending birds who show her extra kindness. The series collates memorable and important occasions, such as vet visits, public transport usage and Christmas Day. A new brother (human) completes the family, enabling Galaxy to live a joyous and exciting cat life, in a beautiful, loving environment.

The Galaxy the Cat series is such a sweet and engaging set of books for kids. The artwork is beautiful and really draws you in. There’s so much to look at on every page. I especially loved how many little conversation starters there are while reading together. You can name the different animals in the pictures, talk about what Galaxy sees on her adventures, and ask your child what they think might happen next. It’s a lovely series for bonding and sparking imagination.
